The Adams County Food Policy Council is an affiliated task force of Healthy Adams County and established by a proclamation of the County Commissioners on May 13, 2009.

All residents of Adams County will have access to a safe, nutritious, affordable and adequate food supply within a sustainable system which promotes the local economy.

In the interest of health and sustainability, The Adams County Food Policy Council promotes the integration of the individual, community, the economy, and the environment. We engage with businesses, institutions, social service agencies, community members, the agricultural sector, and government to develop food policy and take action.

While the Food Policy Council was officially established in May 2009, members of the Council and the Adams County community have been continuously working towards our mission. Read the recent accomplishments within Adams County.
